German IT provider Riege Software and Automated Brokerage Interface (ABI) software provider NetChb have announced a partnership, offering online solutions for the seamless transmission of entry summaries and release data for shipments destined to customers in the U.S.

Good news for customers using Riege-developed IT tool ‘Scope’: They can now leverage NetChb’s software solution and on-staff customs brokerage expertise to file entry summaries and cargo releases directly with the United States Customs Service. In a joint release the companies point out that beginning now shipment data will flow seamlessly between Riege’s Scope and NetChb’s platform for the most accurate, complete, and timely compliance filings for in-bound consignments destined to customers in the U.S.

End of multiple log-ins
Mark Ketcham, VP Americas for Riege Software, lauds the new partnership, because of NetChb’s deep knowledge of entry procedures, admissibility requirements, rates of duty as well as applicable taxes and fees for commercial shipments.
“The partnership with NetChb allows the complete tracking of every shipment within Scope, without multiple log-ins across systems and other time-consuming loops, while removing all the stress and uncertainty around often complicated compliance and customs declarations for Scope customers,” says Ketcham.
Tom Groh, President of NetChb looks forward to the potential global opportunities that may develop, stating “Since the transition by U.S. Customs to its Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) system, NetChb has become the industry standard in customs brokerage software. Working with Riege is the next step for us in deepening our understanding of the freight forwarding market and allowing over 450 Riege customers in 41 countries to experience the accuracy, efficiency, and ease of use that has made NetChb dominant in our category.”

Plans for further expansion are on the table
Through the partnership, Scope proves its capabilities as one of the leading systems enabling unrestricted collaboration between participants in the supply chain whichever system they use.
In addition, Ketcham reports that the growth Riege has experienced in the U.S. is fueling plans for further expansion in North America. “We were fortunate to experience strong double-digit growth in our user base in the last two years. Our forecasts are equally as robust.”
Consequently, Riege Software has added sales, customer service and technical support resources, maintaining offices in Georgetown, CT, Chicago, IL and Phoenix, AZ.
